Because of the national economic downturn our retired clergy are facing a 9% reduction in pension for the next two years. If you are having a retired pastor as your pulpit supply and if you are able, it would be great to increase your compensation to him/her. Thank you!
PULPIT SUPPLY RATES: When a congregation engages the services of a pastor for pulpit supply, the following schedule is to be used to determine appropriate compensation:
One Service: $110 Two Services: $146 Each Additional Service: $40 Bible Study Class teaching, as a part of Sunday schedule: $62 per class Workshops, Lectures, Classes done at other times: As negotiated Mileage to and from the congregation: At current IRS business mileage rates: $0.575 per mile.
