*Note: These persons may not preside at the Sacraments unless the congregation has requested and the Bishop has sent a letter of dispensation. It is the responsibility of the congregation (not the supply minister) to attend to this matter well in advance of the supply date.

With the recent announcement that retired members must absorb a 9% reduction in pension for the next three consecutive years. This will result in a payment that is 25% smaller than today’s pension payment. We are asking that congregations be as generous as possible when reimbursing our retired clergy who serve as pulpit supply pastors.

PULPIT SUPPLY RATES:
When a congregation engages the services of a pastor for pulpit supply, the following schedule is to be used to determine appropriate compensation:
One Service: $108
Two Services: $143
Each Additional Service: $39
Bible Study Class teaching, as a part of Sunday schedule: $61 per class
Workshops, Lectures, Classes done at other times: As negotiated
Mileage to and from the congregation: At current IRS business mileage rates: $0.50 per mile. (2010 rates, update as required)
