She has written for numerous magazines and newspapers. Her books include Things Seen and Unseen: A Year Lived in Faith and Practicing Resurrection: A Memoir of Work, Doubt, Discernment and Moments of Grace. Her latest book is The Sacred Meal, reflections on the Eucharist. She will speak on Friday morning.
Leymah Gbowee Peacemaker
Currently the executive director of Women Peace and Security Network Africa, this Lutheran headed up the inter-faith, female-led efforts that brough peace to Liberia after more than a decade of civil war. She is featured in the film, "Pray the Devil Back to Hell." She will speak on Saturday morning.
Jane Redmont Educator, spiritual director
A popular blogger, she is well-known for her book When in Doubt, Sing: Prayer in Daily Life. This professor of religion at Guilford College (Greensboro, N.C.) and chair of the anti-racism committee of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina will offer workshops on prayer and lead Evening Prayer on Friday.

Additional Leaders The Rev. Dr. Wyvetta Bullock, Executive for Administration, Office of the Presiding Bishop, ELCA, will preach at the opening worship. The Revs. Catherine Malotky and David Engelstad will be the Bible study leaders. Additional leaders will be announced as they are confirmed. Registration opens September 15, 2010.

Montana Synodical Women's organization invites you to beautiful Montana for an exciting time at the gathering of Region 1 Women of the ELCA.
Join women from Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Northern Wyoming for an inspirational weekend of fellowship with an opportunity to grow, study, and learn together.
SPECIAL GUESTS will be the "Timely Trio", Montana gals, who will not only share their beautiful inspiring music but will witness to the love of Jesus Christ and how He has impacted their lives. Their first CD in 1986 was a collection of songs performed over the years with their own original hometown "Havre Song." They have since put out two more CDs. It promises to be a delightful program.
Bible Study and worship leader will be Pastor Mark Gravrock. Pastor Gravrock is new to the Montana Synod moving here from Washington. He serves a parish in the Flathead Valley part time and is the Book of Faith leader for the Montana Synod.
A variety of workshops and displays will be available. Fellowship, Food, and Fun! Cost is $85, including Saturday lunch and dinner. Rooms are $129 for 1-4 people.
